The IBM DuinoTag was a bit limited so I have made up some instructions and kits to build a basic DuinoTag gun on breadboard that is based on the J44 Instructable DuinoTag. This code uses the standard Miles Tag protocol for the “Data Bullets” which enables Player, Teams, Ammo type, Healing etc..
Here is the link to the standard Miles Tag protocol.
And here is the Arduino DuinoTag simplified J44 sketch. Team and player ID is hardcoded in the sketch, this will need to be thought about for real gun…knob and LCD? Buttons? EMP? Tactical Nukes?
This is a starting point. Examine the code, work out the game play you want and plan how to modify the code and hardware to do extra things – like add sounds from the WTV020 module perhaps? Handle different ammo types. Be able to heal another player. Add display for Health, Ammo, Player ID, Team, Level…
Here is the circuit to make up on your Arduino breadboard and the pins for the VISHAY TSSP4338 module (Vss is the power supplyy 5V connection).
