WTV020 3.6V regulator IC to allow 5V supply
This surface mount voltage regulator IC must be soldered onto the WTV020-SD-16P module and a jumper swapped to allow it to run off a 5V power supply.
Manufacturers datasheets for the special electronic components used in the Laser Tag project.

This module takes 5V from a USB mini B cable (or hard wired) and intelligently charges and floats a single 3.7V LiPo cell. NOTE: the default charge current is 1Amp which is much more than a PC USB can supply, use a high current USB supply or change the programming resistor on the 4056 module Read more about TP4056 USB LiPo charger datasheet[…]
Attached is the datasheet for a sound module to play the Lasertag sound effects. It can be controlled by the Arduino using 2 wires but needs 3.3V power supply (be careful, Arduino uses 5V but has a 3.3V output you can use) and sounds are stored on a micro-SD card in either: .ad4 with a Read more about Sound module WTV020-SD-16P-Waytronic[…]
Attached is the datasheet for Osram Opto LD 274-3 IR LED This is the Infrared LED that the shoots out the ‘data bullets’.
Attached is the datasheet for Cree C503B-RCS-CW0Z0AA1 Red LED, 12000 mcd 30 ° This is a super bright red LED for muzzle flash or to indicate a ‘hit’.
Datasheet STP36NF06FP N-channel MOSFET Transistor is attached. This can be connected directly to a Arduino digital pin to enable switching 2 Amps to the IR LED for long range.
Attached is the datasheet for the Vishay, 38kHz IR Receiver 950nm TSSP4338 (replaced the TSSP4038 we origionally used in the prototype – 4338 gives wider receiving angle and better noise rejection) This is the Infrared receiving module tuned to receive only 38Khz IR signals so sunlight is ignored.
